4.2 Use in vehicles for transporting persons with reduced mobility

• The product has not been approved by the manufacturer for use as a seat in vehicles for transporting
persons with reduced mobility.
• Always use the seats installed in vehicles for transporting persons with reduced mobility with the cor-
responding vehicle restraint systems.

5 Options

The wheelchair is designed as a modular component system. This means that certain accesso-
ries can be adapted to your wheelchair. In the following, we will introduce you to a selection of
our options and accessories which improve the operation of your wheelchair.
We recommend using a seat cushion at all times. The seat upholstery of the Avantgarde
wheelchair has a loop texture so that seat cushions can be attached with a hook-and-loop con-
nection. All seat cushions listed on the order form have the required hook texture.
5.1 Anti-tipper (Fig. 14)
Prevents the wheelchair from tipping too far backward. The anti-tipper is strongly recommended
for untrained wheelchair users and children, as well as when extreme adjustments have been
made to the rear wheel. With slight downward pressure on the anti-tipper, it can be disengaged
and swung to the inside (see section "Adjustments/assembly instructions").
5.2 Tip-assist (Fig. 15)
Makes it easier for an attendant to tip up the wheelchair, e.g. to cross a step. The tip-assist must
be mounted so that the ground clearance is at least 40 mm.
5.3 Crutch holder with hook-and-loop strap (Fig. 16)
Allows crutches to be attached to the wheelchair.
