3 Delivery / Preparing the Wheelchair for Use

Risk of pinching.Onlygripthecomponentsshownwhenfoldingorcollapsingthewheelchair.
Yourwheelchairisusuallydeliveredfullyassembledwiththebackrestfoldedandwiththerear
wheelsremoved.
Afewsimplestepsaresufficienttoprepareitforuse:
1. Attachrearwheels.Toattachtherearwheel,pressthebuttononthequick-releaseaxle,slide
fourfingersbetweenthespokesandpressthebuttonofthequick-releaseaxlewithyourthumb
(fig.1).Thenattachtherearwheelstothefittingsandtheaxleswillautomaticallyengage.
2. Whilestandingnexttothewheelchair,tipitslightlytowardyou.Pressapartthecrossbrace
withflatofthehand(fig.2).Makesurethatthecrossbracehaslockedinthesupportbra-
ckets(fig.3).
3. Pullthebibofthebackupholsteryupwardsandattachthebibtothewheelchair'sseat
upholstery(fig.4).
4. Inserttheseatcushion(fig.5).
5. Finally,folddownthefootplates(fig.6).
