Work place

Operate the machine only, if you are standing upright and securely. Stand in front of the machine looking
at the ON-OFF switch and the adjustment button.
Keep the work place clean and well arrange. The machine has to be set up on a secure and stable support
which will withstand the weight which is indicated in the table of item 2.0 and which will withstand
slight vibrations.

Authorised operator

The slicing machine may be operated by persons only, who
• have read and understood the operating conditions,
• have been trained for the operation,
• who have been made acquainted with the hazards caused by the machine and with the hygiene
instructions,
• are more than 14 years old.

Before persons with active implants (pacemakers etc.) are in the vicinity of the
machine or operate it, an individual risk assessment must be carried out jointly and
on site by experts, the company doctor and, if applicable, a cardiologist.
Repeat the training if necessary.
The machine may be services and repaired by trained expert staff only (mechanic, electrician).
Please ensure that no authorised persons can use, clean or service the machine.

Workwear

Wear protective gloves with wrist protection when servicing and cleaning the blade.
Always wear shoes with steel cap during transport of the machine.

Inspection of protective equipment

• after every servicing or repair work.
Check for prescribed condition and function. Have the defects eliminated by specialist personnel. The
