Place blade sharpener

• Adjust the stop plate to largest cutting thickness.
• Push the slide into centre position. (1)
• Adjust the blade sharpener to position „0".
• Place the blade sharpener onto the stop plate.

• Push it towards the blade until the screw head of the sharpener lies against the blade ring. (3)
• Press the blade sharpener from above onto the stop plate.
• Fix the blade sharpener with the knurled button on the stop.

9.4

Sharpening the knife

• Switch on the machine with the green On button.
• Turn the adjusting knob to grinding position „1".
• Grinding begins.
• The duration of grinding depends on the condition of the blade.
9.5 Checking for burr
• Grind until a slight burr is formed.
• Switch off the machine with the red Off button.
• Slide a sharpened pencil slowly from the blade cover plate to the cutting edge.
• Do you feel any resistance at the blade cutting edge?
- That is the burr produced from sharpening. If there is no burr, continue sharpening and check it again.
9.6 Removing the burr on the blade
• If a burr has formed on the blade edge, turn the adjusting knob to the honing position „2".
• Allow the machine to run for a few revolutions and switch the device off with the red OFF button.
