8. Completion of Model Vehicle

Before operating your model car for the first time, it is necessary to mount the missing components of
the remote control such as receiver, steering servo, cruise control and drive battery.

a) Removing the car body

The car body is secured with four holding brackets which must be slid out from the retaining pins. The
car body can then be taken off.
To pull out the holding brackets, we recommend the use of long or flat-nose pliers.

b) Mounting the steering servo

Out tip:
Put into operation the remote control and the steering servo first (plug in receiver, cruise
control, battery pack) and place the steering trim at the transmitter in middle position.
The servo drive is thereby exactly in the middle position which is important for mounting
the servo lever.
In order to maintain a steering mechanism that func-
tions with exactitude and precision, you should, in any
case, use a high-quality standard servo for steering.
In order to ensure quick reactions to steering move-
ments, the servo should not be too slow.
Before placing and screwing the lever of the servo (1),
make sure that the steering servo is placed exactly in
the middle position.
First mount the ball-shaped head (1) on the lever of the
servo (2).
The further the ball-shaped head is installed from the pivot point (assuming that a corre-
sponding servo lever is used) the bigger is the achieved wheel steering radius.
Afterwards, the servo lever can be inserted in the servo axis as shown in the figure (the drive must be
exactly in the middle position, angle between servo lever and servo 90°). Fix the servo lever with the
corresponding servo screw.
