13. Troubleshooting

Even though the model and the remote control system were built to the latest available technology,
there can still be malfunctions or faults. This is why we would like to show you how to remove possible
faults.
Problem
The model doesn't respond
The steering servo shakes
The steering servo hums
The car stalls when the control
lever for the driving function
is released.
Straight run isn't correct
Steering or driving movement
opposite to movement of
steering wheel and throttle
Remedy
• Check the drive battery.
• Check the connection of the drive battery.
• Check function switch.
• Check the cruise control.
• Check marking on crystals.
• Carry out crystal change on a different channel.
• Check batteries or rechargeable batteries of transmitter.
• Carry out crystal change on a different channel.
• Dry possible dampness in the receiver with a hair dryer.
• Check receiver antenna for damages and electrical conti-
nuity.
• Check the drive battery.
• Check the smooth run of linkage rods.
• Operate servo without rudder horn for test purposes.
• Adjust the necessary value for the drive function via the
trim button.
• Carry out a programming of the cruise control.
• Set the straight run via the trim setting of your remote
control.
• Check the steering linkage.
• Check the clearance in the steering/wheel suspension
and, if necessary, replace the deflected part.
• Check servo reverse function on the transmitter, if nec-
essary, modify the setting.
