7. Recharging Battery Pack

For instance, standard 7.2V Racing Packs (6 cells) can be used. Possibly, 8.4V accumulator packs (7
cells) can also be used in the vehicle.
Recharge the battery pack completely before driving. New battery packs are empty.
Please note:
Before a new rechargeable battery pack delivers its maximum power, several complete
discharge and charge cycles are necessary.
Always drive the rechargeable battery pack empty, as recharging a "half-full" recharge-
able battery pack repeatedly, can cause a so called memory effect. This means that the
rechargeable battery pack looses its capacity, it no longer releases all of its saved en-
ergy, drive time is decreased.
If you are using several rechargeable battery packs or rechargeable batteries, purchas-
ing a high-quality charger may be worthwhile. Such chargers are also suitable for fast
charging of rechargeable batteries.
