13. Basic Settings

The weather station is ready for use after the exterior sensors have been recognised and the DCF time has been
received. When operating for the first time you can however still make some settings.
Refer to Chapter 9 for handling of the touchscreen display.
Touch the text field at the bottom of the display (the two lower text lines). If you have not yet entered another menu,
the following appears:
*SETUP **MINMAX*
*ALARMS** EXIT *
Touch the "SETUP" button, the following appears:
*LCD
CONTRAST*
*NEXT*
*EXIT*
If you would like to change the LC display contrast, touch the "LCD CONTRAST" button. You can reach the next
respective menu using the "NEXT" button; you can leave the settings menu by pressing "EXIT".

Use "UP" and "DOWN" to set the LC display contrast to your requirements. Press "NEXT" to move to the next setting.

If you would like to set the time zone, press "ZONE", or otherwise press "NEXT".

As with the previous settings of the display contrast, you can use the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to set the displayed
timezone (zone -12 to +12 hours).
You can reach the next menu by pressing "NEXT":

Pressing the "RCC ON/OFF" button switches DCF reception on or off.

*OFF *
"ON" switches on the DCF reception "OFF" switches it off. Switching off the DCF receiver can be necessary when
the weather station mounting area has no DCF reception (e.g. in a cellar or in other difficult reception locations).
This also saves power as the weather station does not carry out any unnecessary attempts to find a
signal.
