b) Wind Sensor

The wind sensor mounting location should be selected so that it is not situated too close to wall or
buildings as this will cause incorrect measurements. The wind close to buildings is generally faster than
in free areas, in addition the wind direction will be incorrectly measured.
We suggest you maintain a minimum distance of 3-5 m from buildings and trees.
First mount the holder on a wall, for example. Use the
appropriate screws and fittings depending on the wall type.
The holder can be used with or without the corner piece
depending on the location where it is mounted.
When mounting the holder and the wind sensor, ensure
that the wind sensor is correctly oriented! The compass
points are shown on the sensor (N = North, S = South,
W = West, E = East).
If incorrectly mounted, the wind directions in the display
will be shown incorrectly.
Use a compass or similar to determine the compass bearings.
Run the cable connecting the temperature/air humidity sensor
and the wind sensor through the holder before attaching the
holder.
Pay attention when drilling/tightening the screws that no
power, gas or water pipes can be damaged!
Two slits in the holder can be used to connect it to pipes etc
using cable ties.
Insert the sensor in the holder as shown in the figure on the
right (with or without the corner piece, depending on where it
is mounted).
Lay the cable to the temperature/air humidity sensor so that it
cannot get caught in the wind sensor.
Attach any excess cable with cable ties.
