6. Safety Instructions

The warranty will lapse for damage due to non-compliance with these operating instructions.
Liability for any and all consequential damage is excluded!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury, caused by improper use
or failure to observe the safety instructions. Any claim to warranty will lapse in such cases!
Dear customer, the following safety instructions and danger warnings are not only to protect your well-being but also
to protect the device. Please read carefully through the following points:
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of safety
and approval reasons (CE). Do not open or deconstruct the product (apart from the opening
described activities for inserting/changing the batteries and/or cleaning the product)!
Maintenance, setting jobs or repairs may only be carried out by a specialist/specialised workshop.
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the outdoor sensors emit only
relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to malfunction of life-supporting systems. The same
may possibly apply to other areas.
• The weather station and the plug-in power supply unit is only suitable for dry indoor areas. Do not
expose it to direct sunlight, strong heat, cold, dampness or wetness, otherwise there is a danger of
death through electric shock!.
• The outdoor sensors are suitable for operation in outdoor areas. They should, however, not be
mounted or used in or under water!
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children. The product contains small
parts, glass (display) and batteries. Position the product such that it is out of reach of children.
• Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around since this may become a dangerous toy
for children.
• Use the device only in moderate climate regions and not in tropical climate.
• When the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g. during transport), condensation
water may form. The product can be damaged by this, and there is also a danger of fatal injury
through electric shock from the mains power supply!
Wait until the product has reached room temperature before using it. This may take several hours.
• If the product is used in schools, training facilities, do-it-yourself and hobby workshops, it should not
be handled unless supervised by trained, responsible personnel.
• Handle the product carefully, it can be damaged by impacts, blows or by falling even from a low
height.
