16. Battery Replacement

a) Weather station

It is necessary to change the batteries if the display contrast becomes very weak or the "
the upper part of the time display area.

For all settings to be maintained we recommend to operate the weather station with the supplied mains
power unit during battery replacement.

b) Sensors

If the rain sensor batteries are depleted or empty, the following display appears in the text field on the weather station:
RAIN TX
BATTERY LOW
The temperature/Humidity sensor (with attached wind sensor) indicates a depleted/empty battery with the following
display:
THERMO TX
BATTERY LOW
Replace the batteries of the respective sensor, carry out the exchange as described for the initial operation of the
product.

If the weather station no longer recognises the sensor(e.g. even an hour after the battery exchange no
measured values or still the text display as above) then carry out a manual search for the sensors, see
Chapter 13, penultimate menu item "RELEARN TX".
Short description
Touch the lower display area and then "SETUP". Press "NEXT" until "RELEARN TX" appears. Press
the line "RELEARN TX", and then "CONFIRM". Then exit the menu by pressing "EXIT".

If this still doesn't help in finding the sensors, then take the batteries out of all the devices (weather
station and sensors) and proceed as described in Chapter 10 (first insert batteries in the sensors, then
the weather station).
