10. Operation

a) Description of buttons/basic functions

• With the four arrow buttons "
you can select and change the functions or settings of the weather station.
• With the button "

• The weather forecast for the next 12-24 hours is displayed with the button "

sun and moon, the moon phase, the time, the date and the progression and trend display for the air pressure.

No air pressure data is available after commissioning. For this reason, the progression display does not
show any change and a weather forecast is not possible due to the missing measuring data for the air
pressure change.
• Turn the weather station on and off with the button (1). If the weather station is turned on via this button, you can
put it into standby or activate it again with the on/off button (33) on the IR remote control.

b) DCF time/date

The weather station can receive and evaluate the so-called DCF
signal.
This is a signal which is sent by a transmitter in Mainflingen (near
Frankfurt on the Main). Its range is up to 1500km and if transmission
conditions are ideal even up to 2000km.
Among other things, the DCF signal includes the precise time
(theoretical deviation of 1 second in a million years!) and the date.
This means you do not have to switch manually between daylight
savings time and normal time.
Compared to other weather stations or clocks with DCF reception, this one has a special feature.
Due to the electronics for the TFT screen, reception of DCF data is only possible when the
screen is turned off.

The reception attempts for the DCF data are performed at 3, 4, 5 and 6 o'clock (there is not only less
interference due to activated electronic equipment in the house at this time, but also better reception
conditions). If the weather station has not detected a perfect DCF signal at that time, it will continue
reception attempts at every full hour.
If a DCF signal was successfully received, the weather station will first start a new reception attempt
the next night.
