11. Weather Station Control, Basic Functions


For a description of the operation of the second receiver unit, see chapter 13.

a) Starting DCF Reception Attempt

If the weather station has not found any DCF signal, you may manually start the DCF signal search. For this, hold
the button "+" (7) pressed until the DCF radio mast icon flashes (see chapter 9. d).
Check that the radio mast icon shows good reception and wait for a few minutes until the right time is displayed.
If not, select a position with better reception for the weather station and restart the reception attempt.

b) Finding Sensors

If the display field shows only dashes (e.g. for a rain sensor "- - - . -"), you may start a manual search for all outdoor
sensors.
Keep the "–" button pressed until the icon for radio reception flashes in the upper area of the display.
The sensor search can take several minutes.
If one of the sensors is not found, check its batteries; place the sensor in another location, lower the distance between
the weather station and the sensor.
c) Backlight
Briefly press the "SNOOZE / LIGHT" button (8) to activate the backlight for a few seconds. The backlight is also
activated when any button is pressed.
