La batteria ha una tensione di 12V e una capacità di 30
Ah; alla sua carica provvede il generatore. Per accedere
alla batteria occorre:
I togliere la sella;
I levare il contenitore attrezzi.
Istruzioni per la manutenzione delle batterie cariche
con acido.
Le batterie cariche secche attivate dopo carica di
ravvivamento o ricevute cariche con acido devono es-
sere trattate con le seguenti avvertenze:
I aggiungere quando occorre acqua distillata (mai
acido) in modo che a riposo il livello dell'acido sia di 5
mm sopra i separatori;
I mantenere puliti e serrati i morsetti e ingrassarli con
vaselina;
I mantenere asciutta la parte superiore della batteria
evitando traboccamenti di acido, che riducono l'isola-
mento e corrodono telai e cassette di contenimento;
I assicurarsi che l'impianto di carica a bordo non dia
cariche eccessive od insufficienti, tenendo presente che
la densità dell'acido deve mantenersi fra 1,24 e 1,27. Se
ciò non avvenisse occorre rivedere l'isolamento e l'effi-
cienza dell'impianto di carica di avviamento;
I le batterie immagazzinate cariche con acido devono
essere periodicamente ricaricate con intesità pari a 1/10
della capacità, mantenendo il livello corretto o la densità
di 1,27 a 25°C;
I le batterie devono essere montate sul veicolo ben
serrate dai congegni di fissaggio mantenendo attivi i
dispositivi antivibranti.
Battery
The 12 V/30 Ah battery is charged by the generator. To
gain access to the battery:
I remove the saddle;
I lift out the tool box.
Battery maintenance Batteries which are already in
service (i.e. dry batteries which have been filled, acti-
vated and charged) or those received already filled with
acid must be maintained as follows:
I top up with distilled water (never use acid) so that
the liquid level is 5 mm over the top of the plates;
I battery terminals should be kept tightened, clean and
greased with Vaseline;
I keep the top of the battery clean, avoid spillage of
electrolyte as this will reduce insulation and will corrode
the battery holder and cover;
I check that the charging equipment is not under or
overcharging the battery; battery liquid specific gravity
should be 1.24÷1.27. If this is not the case it will be
necessary to check the insulation and efficiency of
charging and starting equipment;
I batteries which are stored should be refilled at regu-
lar intervals with1/10th of capacity, keeping the level
correct or with a specific gravity of 1.27 at 25°C;
I the battery should be clamped firmly in place on the
vehicle, keeping the anti-vibrations devices active.
