CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Do not leave food in Clipso
+Chef.
®
• For your pressure cooker to operate correctly, ensure that you follow these clea-
ning and maintenance recommendations after each use.
• Wash the Clipso
+Chef after each use with water and washing-up liquid. Do the
®
same for the basket.
• Never use bleach or chlorinated products, as this will a ect the quality of the
stainless steel.
To clean the pan
Inside the pan:
• Wash with a scouring pad and washing-up liquid.
• If the inside of the stainless steel pan shows iridescent reflections or white spots
(mineral deposits), clean it with white vinegar.
• You can put the pan in the dishwasher.
Outside the pan:
• Wash with a sponge and washing-up liquid.
To clean the lid
Never put the timer under water or in the dishwasher.
• Remove the timer.
• Once you have removed the timer, seal and module, you can put the lid in the
dishwasher.
• If you accidentally remove the base of the automatic air ventilation system (B),
replace it by pressing and turning simultaneously.
To clean the lid seal
Never put the seal in the dishwasher.
• After cooking each time, clean the seal (H) and its housing.
• Wash the seal with a sponge and washing-up liquid.
• To replace the seal, make sure that the wording "face côté couvercle" is against
the lid.

To clean the control module, valves and crown
• Remove the control module from the lid: see paragraph "Installing and removing
the control module". Wash the module under a stream of water.
Never open the control module.
• Check by eye that the steam release outlet (A) is not blocked: see
rinse it under water.
• Check that the operating valve (L) on the inside of the lid can move by turning
the programme selector to "prog 1" and pressing down with your finger: see
17. You can clean this valve under a jet of water.
• Also check that the safety valve (M) is working properly by pressing hard with a
blunt stick in the central part of the vent, which must be movable: see
Clean the valve under a jet of water.
Do not use sharp or pointed objects to perform this operation.
• Check that the module seal (K) is correctly fitted. If this seal is missing or
damaged, leaks may appear under the module when the Clipso
operation. The shape of the seal makes it easy to remove and replace. If required,
this part is available from Tefal Authorised Service Centres.
• Check that the pressure indicator (D) is clean; you can clean it under a jet of
water.
To clean the timer
Do not put the timer in the dishwasher.
• Use a clean, dry cloth.
• Do not use solvents.
• Never submerge the timer in water.
