SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES
• The connection cross-sections are determined for copper cables at
40 °C (104 °F) ambient temperature (according to DIN VDE 0298
Part 4 / 02.88 Group 5) and the recommended cable protection
according to DIN VDE 0100 Part 430.
• Both the cables and the semiconductors are protected by fuses with
gR characterstics.
• It is not imperative to operate the units via a main contactor.
gL fuses only provide reliable protection to the cables, and not to the
semiconductors.
If the units are connected to the supply system without a main contactor
which can interrupt the incoming supply in the event of a fault, the unit
may suffer further damage.
