b) Mode security levels
The code lock offers 5 modes for selecting the security level (programming code 10).
Transponder cards only - mode 1
For access control, simply hold a card against the reader to open the door. The security level is
moderate, but user-friendly.
User codes only - mode 2
For access control, simply enter a code to open the door. The security level is also moderate,
but user-friendly.
Transponder card + general user code - mode 4
The code lock requires both card and general user code to grant access. The general user code
is a user code for all cards. Two media are used in door control. The security level is better than
just card or user code alone.
Transponder card + secondary user code - mode 3
A secondary user code can be used repeatedly for a group of cards, e.g. in a department. You
can set up a separate department code for each department in a company. Only the employees
in the department who have a card and know the code are granted access via the code lock.
This approach increases security in the departments and prevents, for example, a lost card from
being used by other groups of people in the company to open the door.
Transponder card + own secondary user code - mode 3.
The code lock accepts programming with any card that has its own user code. This prevents
other people from using a lost card to open the door. A card with its own user code is ideal for
use in areas where high security is paramount.
