b) Using the code lock
After completing the sample programming described in Chapter 15. a), the code lock is ready
for use. The centre LED of the code lock flashes orange slowly and indicates normal mode. The
code lock is waiting for code entry.
User #1 or #2 wants to gain access via his transponder card
• A transponder card has been programmed for user #1. He only has to hold the transponder
card against the code lock to activate output #1:
Read card
• T he code lock emits a long beep tone (the centre LED flashes twice orange quickly).
For 3 seconds, output #1 is activated (the right LED lights up green during this time).
• User #2 must also hold his transponder card against the code lock to activate output #1.
User #3 or #4 wants to gain access via his user code
• User #3 has been programmed with user code "1111". User #1 must enter the following
buttons in sequence to activate output #1:
• T he code lock emits a long beep tone (the centre LED flashes twice orange quickly).
For 3 seconds, output #1 is activated (the right LED lights up green during this time).
• User #4 must enter his own code to activate output #1:
User #5 or #6 wants to gain access via his transponder card and the secondary user
code
• A transponder card has been programmed for user #5. A secondary user code "3333" has
also been created. He must perform the following in succession to activate output #1:
Read card
• The code lock emits two beep tones to confirm that the card has been read.
• If the secondary user code is entered within 30 seconds, the code lock emits one long beep
tone (the centre LED flashes twice orange quickly).
For 3 seconds, output #1 is activated (the right LED lights up green during this time).
• User #6 must also hold his transponder card against the code lock and then enter the
secondary user code to activate output #1.
