8. Installation and connection

Do not mount or connect the product when it is connected to a power supply.
a) Removing the code lock/Preparing for installation
• First unscrew the two fastening screws of the cover (G) at the bottom with the enclosed
Allen key.
• Remove the cover and take the code lock out of the casing.
b) Mounting the Wi-Fi module
• Insert the supplied Wi-Fi module in the appropriate place ("WiFi MODULE") on the circuit
board of the code lock.
Note the following illustration. It shows the Wi-Fi module (top) in top view and the part of the
code lock from the perspective of the circuit board.
The Wi-Fi module can only be attached in one direction, as the two terminal strips of
the module are designed as plugs J11 and sockets J12. On the circuit board of the
code lock, the two terminal strips are designed exactly the opposite way round.
However, take special care that the 4 plug contacts on each side are always inserted
exactly into the respective 4 sockets.
