16. Troubleshooting

Preprogrammed settings are not affected by a power cut.
However, the code lock will not work during a power cut and the outputs cannot be activated.
For security reasons, we recommend that you operate the code lock using an
uninterruptible power supply (as is the case for alarm systems).
The door opener doesn't work
• Output #1 is intended for connecting a door opener. The output supplies 12 V/DC and up
to 3 A. Depending on the current requirement of the connected door opener, it is therefore
necessary to ensure sufficient power supply to the code lock.
• If the door opener has polarity markings (plus/+ and minus/-), ensure that it is connected to
the code lock with correct polarity.
• The user code is incorrect.
The centre LED on the code lock does not flash in normal mode.
• Check whether you have switched off the flashing function; switch the flashing function on
again (Chapter 14. p).
The code lock only emits certain warning tones, but e.g. no beep tones when entering
a user code.
• Check whether you have switched off the beep tones; switch them on again (Chapter 14. n)
or Chapter 14. o).
The user code does not work
• If there is programming (e.g. user codes) and you change the access mode (see Chapter 14.
m)), various malfunctions will occur.
Therefore, delete all existing programming before or after changing the access mode, see
Chapter 14. c).
Then carry out reprogramming.
• In automatic access mode, the user code should have the same length as the master code
(e.g. 5 digits). The superuser code and visitor codes must also have the same number of
digits as the master code.
Why is this necessary?
