12. Preparation for programming

a) Criteria for numeric codes and transponders
Primary codes
Primary codes include user codes, master codes, threat codes, superuser codes, general user
codes and visitor codes. All these codes must be unique. The use of an already programmed
primary code for a second function is not allowed.
All codes may have 4 to 8 digits in manual access mode. For automatic access mode, the codes
must have the same length as the master code. Please refer to Chapter 14. m).
Primary transponder cards
All user cards are primary cards. They cannot be programmed for a second function.
The cards used in this system are 125 kHz transponder EM cards.
Secondary user codes
A secondary user code is created to increase the security of a user card. This means, that the
keypad requires both the user card and the secondary user code to grant access.
The same secondary user code can be used for a group of cards as well as for only one card.
The code lock rejects the repeated use of a primary card or code in programming and
emits a long beep tone.
