7. Mounting and connection

Do not mount or connect the product when it is connected to a power supply.
• Unscrew the two mounting screws (D) on the front of the product using the tool provided.
Remove the combination lock from the mounting plate.
• Attach the mounting plate to a wall by placing two suitable screws through the mounting holes
(G). Depending on the surface, dowels may also be required.
Ensure that the two cable openings (F) are pointing downwards to prevent water from
getting into the combination lock.
Guide the necessary cables through the openings (F) into the lock housing. Depend-
ing on where the lock is mounted, you may need to drill a hole for the connection
cables.
Ensure that no cables or wires are damaged when drilling holes or tightening screws.
• Connect the cables to the corresponding screw terminals. See the diagram on the next page
for a standard wiring example.
Use suitable cables with different colours. Note the colours down and store this infor-
mation together with these instructions.
• Use the "12 - 24 V AC/DC" screw terminals to connect the power supply. You can use a DC
or AC voltage (e.g. bell transformer or power adapter).
When using a DC voltage (12 - 24 V/DC), ensure that the cables are connected in
the correct polarity (observe the positive/+ and negative/- markings). The polarity is
irrelevant for alternating (AC) voltages.
Ensure that the connections do not exceed the maximum load.
Warning!
Never connect a mains voltage to any of the outputs or terminals on the combination
lock, as this may cause a fatal electric shock.
• Use the jumper (14) to set output #2 as an NC or NO contact.
- "N. C.": Output #2 works as an NC contact (opening contact).
- "N.O.": Output #2 works as an NO contact (closing contact).
