f) Checking the drive and steering functions
You should switch on the model boat first to check the drive and steering functions. You should always do this later
before putting the model boat on the water surface.
The drive and steering functions are implemented by means of the two propellers rotating in different directions. Thus,
the model boat does not require a mechanical steering gear.
Warning!
When checking the drive and steering functions, the model boat must be positioned so that the propellers
can turn freely without hitting any obstacles.
Furthermore, make sure that no parts of the body or hair can get into the rotating propellers.
The running propellers can cause severe injury!
The two propellers should be static when the joystick for drive function (see figure 2, no. 9) and the joystick for steer-
ing function (see also Figure 2, no. 3) are in the middle position. In this case you can set the trim on the transmitter.

Drive function
When checking the drive function, the joystick for steering function remains in the middle position.
Forward travel is controlled with the left joystick. Pushing the joystick up from the middle position brings both propel-
lers into rotation, with the rotational speed increasing as the joystick is pushed further up. The motors run at maximum
speed when the joystick is pushed all the way up.
Moving the joystick back to the middle position brings the two propellers back to halt.
If the propellers only begin to turn when the joystick for drive function is moved down from the middle
position, the reverse switch for drive function (see also figure 2, no. 7) is in the wrong position and must be
switched over.
