Versions with other options (e.g. electric back angle ad-
justment, mechanically elevating footrest) are not appro-
ved for use in a vehicle for the disabled.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to improper transportation. The seats
installed in the motor vehicle along with the corresponding
vehicle restraint systems offer passengers optimum pro-
tection in the event of an accident. The Skippi power
wheelchair should only be used as a seat in a vehicle for
the disabled in exceptional cases, and only in conjunction
with the safety elements and restraint systems offered by
Ottobock. For more information, please refer to our bro-
chure "Using your Wheelchair / Mobility Base with Seating
Shell or Buggy for Transportation in Motor Vehicles for the
Disabled", article number 646D158. Observe the addi-
tional limitations regarding installed options (see previous
safety note).

WARNING
Risk of injury when using the belt system as a restraint
system in a wheelchair accessible vehicle, which is for-
bidden
„ Under no circumstances may the belt system (e.g. lap
belt) be used as part of a restraint system for trans-
portation in a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
„ Note that the belt system is only intended to help sup-
port the user sitting in the power wheelchair.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to insufficient restraints. During trans-
port in another vehicle, the power wheelchair must be se-
cured sufficiently with tensioning straps.
Ensure that the wheelchair is fully secured with tensioning
straps during transportation in a motor vehicle for the disa-
bled. Four eyelets are provided on the frame of the Skippi in
order to attach straps (Fig. 5).
Before transporting the power wheelchair, switch the control
unit off and engage the wheel lock (see chapter 6.4).
