Operate the panic bar or the door handle.
The lock was unlocked and the door can be opened from inside.
The outer door handle remains disengaged and can only be engaged from
outside with a key.
Opening the door – against the escape direction (from outside)
A locked door cannot be opened from outside without a key, because the door
handle is uncoupled. To open the door, the outer door handle must be engaged
and the lock must be unlocked.

Turn the key in the "latch bolt unlocked" direction to the stop.

Operate the outside door handle.
The lock is unlocked and the door can be opened.
The outside door handle is permanently engaged.
The door can be passed through from inside and outside without a key.
Disengaging the door handle and locking the door

The door handle is permanently disengaged.
