Product versions

Product variants with escape door function are available, which
· have either a continuous or
· a split handle follower.
Locks with a split handle follower are combined with handle fittings. The outside
handle can be engaged and disengaged here.

Intended use

The N7XXX OneSystem SBP lock is suitable for installation in metal frame doors.
The lock is part of the door lock. A door lock is the functional unit comprising lock
and installed accessories.
It is approved for fire doors that are tested and approved separately by door
manufacturers. All applicable regulations for the complete fire door must be
observed.
The N7XXX OneSystem SBP locks are available in three variants relating to panic
functions B, C and E ("Explanation of panic functions B, C and E", page 89).
All variants are suitable for door locking in safety areas and are approved for
emergency exit locks in accordance with EN 179 and panic door locks in accor-
dance with EN 1125. They are suitable for use according to the classification
key ("EN 1125 – Panic function B, C and E", page 64 and page 65).
The locks may only be installed in double-leaf doors when the inactive leaf can be
securely held in place with zero play and the active leaf runs against a stop edge.
With double-leaf doors with rebated meeting stile and panic locks in each leaf,
the leaf must open when the panic door lock is actuated. Both leaves must open
freely if both panic door locks are actuated at the same time.
With double-leaf doors with rebated meeting stile and door closer, the correct
door closing sequence must be assured; otherwise the function of fire doors or
smoke protection doors, in particular, is not guaranteed. It may be necessary to
install a follower.
The N7XXX OneSystem SBP lock is suitable for installation and use in accordance
with this manual. It is not intended for any other type of use.
