seals), no function of the lock may be impaired
Limited movement of the door may result in life-threatening danger, risk of
injury and material damage: All blocking elements must be installed so that the
free movement of the door is not impeded. Doors may only be secured with the
approved locks. No additional devices may be installed. Any door closers which
are installed may not impair the actuation of the door by children and infirm
persons.
Unsuitable fastening means may result in life-threatening danger, risk of
injury and material damage, as well as reduced intrusion protection: Suitable
means of fastening must be used depending on the installation situation and
materials of the door.
An incorrectly adjusted panic side can result in life-threatening danger and
risk of injury: After installing the lock, check whether the locked door can be
opened in the escape direction.
Incorrect or faulty installation impairs personal safety: The normal installation
height for the horizontal push rod is 900 mm to 1100 mm above the finished
floor surface. If children are present in the majority of the building, the installa-
tion height must be reduced accordingly.
· The horizontal push rod must be installed so that the greatest possible effective
bar length is achieved.
· Any lock counterparts or coverings which are provided should be installed to
ensure conformity with this European standard.
