Functions and operation

Fittings

The panic function variants ("Explanation of panic functions B, C and E", page 89)
differ in their operation and the fittings to be installed.
The OneSystem SBP locks B and C are suitable for handle fittings ("Maintenance,
warranty, disposal", page 94) on both sides, meaning that the door
· according to EN 179 is operated from both sides with the door handle or
· according to EN 1125 is operated with a panic bar in the escape direction and is
operated with a door handle opposite the escape direction.
Since the follower is split, the door handles (panic bar) on the inside and outside
operate independently of each other.
The OneSystem SBP lock with panic function E is only suitable for handle fittings
indoors ("Maintenance, warranty, disposal", page 94), a knob is installed on the
outside ("Panic function E – operation", page 93).
The OneSystem security locks have holes drilled in for the end-to-end fastening of
oval and round rosettes and long escutcheons.

Unlocking pin on two-leaf escape doors

The OneSystem security lock with
unlocking pin in the latch bolt
(Fig. 12) is installed in the active leaf in
double-leaf escape doors.
The inactive leaf has the OneSystem
passive leaf lock for SBP locks, which
presses back the unlocking pin and
then the latch bolt when the door
handle or actuating bar is actuated.
This means that the escape door can
also be unlocked and opened via the
inactive leaf.
