For doors with a height of over 2 m,
there is the option of expanding the
N7XXX OneSystem SBP multi-point
locking with a forth bolt (Fig. 9).
For this purpose, an additional bolt is
attached mechanically on the up-
per-most bolt of the 3-way locking
system. All locks of the latest design are
prepared for this expansion, so the
additional bolt can be retrofitted at any
time.
The additional bolt offers the possibility
of providing high doors with additional
mechanical safeguarding.
When fitted with the additional bolt,
unusually tall doors will meet require-
ments for approval with intrusion-resis-
tant effect. Without the additional bolt,
tall doors (particularly tubular frame
doors) are at risk of manipulation and
opening from the outside.
