Warning!
Life-threatening danger and risk of injury resulting from incorrect installation
of door handle fittings: On escape doors, only door fittings, lock counterparts,
and coverings approved according to EN 179 and EN 1125 may be used ("Acces-
sories", page 104).
Important!
Property damage after drilling through the lock: The lock is damaged by drill-
ing. You may only use existing holes drilled at the factory to attach door fittings.
The lock must be removed prior to drilling.
Damage from dirt: The lock is damaged by dirt. Prior to installation, the lock
pocket and all holes must be cleaned (by blowing out or vacuuming).
Property damage caused by forcefully installing the handle pin into the fol-
lower:The door handle spindle must be gently inserted into the spindle hub. No
tools are needed.
1 Install the door fittings for emergency exit doors as described in the accom-
panying instructions.
Testing the lock
1 Test all functions of the lock and the door. Make sure that the appropriate
rebate gap is set (Fig. 3, page 69, "Technical data", page 96). The lock
must operate consistently smoothly for all functions. The latch bolt must
move easily when closing. An inconsistent or sluggish movement of the bolt
can indicate a mounting error or distorted installation of the lock.
2 Test the lock's panic function. Make sure that the locked door can be opened
in the escape direction.
 The lock is ready for use.
