Life-threatening danger and risk of injury due to damage: A damaged lock is
a safety risk and may not be installed or used. The lock and package may not be
damaged.
Life-threatening danger and risk of injury resulting from incorrect or faulty
installation of the horizontal push rod in accordance with EN 1125: The normal
installation height for the horizontal push rod is 900 mm to 1100 mm above the
finished floor surface. If children are present in the majority of the building, the
installation height must be reduced accordingly. The horizontal push rod must be
installed so that the greatest possible effective bar length is achieved ("Accesso-
ries", page 104).
Life-threatening danger and risk of injury resulting from incorrect or faulty
installation of door handle fittings according to EN 179: Only fittings, lock coun-
terparts and coverings approved according to EN 179 may be used ("Fittings",
page 86).
Observe the specifications and regulations of inspection authorities: Regula-
tions established by inspection authorities must be complied with for installation
and electrical connection of the lock. Specifications of the door manufacturer
must also be observed.
