It is hazardous to modify doors along escape routes: The safety features of this
product are an essential requirement for its conformity with EN 179 and EN 1125.
Do not make any changes which are not described in these instructions.
Unsuitable doors reduce personal safety and intrusion protection: Only
approved and technically sound doors are suitable for installation of the lock.
Prior to the installation of the lock , the door must be checked to ensure that it is
attached properly and is not warped. The door must be approved for use of the
lock. Door operating elements may not impede each other.
The lock is not approved for use on double acting swing doors.
Unsuitable locks impair personal safety and fire protection: Only applies for
variants without secured latch locking.
The lock is suitable for fire doors or smoke protection doors („Classification key",
page 64ff). Check whether the door certification matches the lock. Ensure that
the lock is the appropriate size and that it is installed with the right accessory.
Unsuitable door seals impair personal safety: When door seals are used (such
as profile seals or bottom seals), no function of the lock may be impaired.
Broken glass doors may lead to severe injuries: Glass doors or glass parts on
doors must be made of safety glass or composite safety glass.
Unsuitable fastening means reduce personal safety and intrusion protection:
Suitable means of fastening must be used depending on the installation situation
and materials of the door.
