11) Components to be incorporated into or used as replacements in the equipment shall be
fitted by suitably trained personnel in accordance with the manufacturer's
documentation.
12) Manual override can be accomplished by using the disconnect switch provided in the
building installation.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR SAFE USE

The 'X' suffix to the certificate number relates to the following special condition(s) for safe use:
• Any cable or conduit entries shall meet the requirements of the European Directive 
94/9/EC for Group II, Category 3D and maintain the overall IP rating of the enclosure.
• Cable shall be selected in accordance with the applicable Code of Practice and its insula-
tion shall be capable of withstanding the maximum surface temperature of the enclosure
(T70 ºC).
• The enclosure is non-conducting and, under certain extreme conditions, may generate an
ignition-capable level of electrostatic charges. The user shall ensure that the equipment
is not installed in a location where it may be subjected to external conditions (such as
high-pressure steam) which might cause a build-up of electrostatic charges on non-con-
ducting surfaces. Additionally, cleaning of the equipment should be done only with a
damp cloth.
• The equipment shall either be installed in an area where there is a low risk of mechanical
damage or, if this is not possible, it shall be protected by an additional guard that provides
it with mechanical protection that is adequate for the application.
• Any LUT400 series controller (LUT420, LUT430, LUT440) used with remote panel mounted
lid shall be installed in a suitably rated enclosure meeting the requirements of the Euro-
pean Directive 94/9/EC for Group II, Category 3D and rated IP65 or better.
