Connecting SIMATRIX to COM-X

The load connected to the 8 interfaces must not exceed 800 mA. Further information on this can be
found in the User Manual for SIMATRIX NEO.
A 6-core cable is required if the power supply is obtained from the SIMATRIX.
Please note the precut/preassembled cable in the Ordering data. See Section 5: Details for ordering.
Required settings (SW401) for use of output COM1B as TTY interface:

Interface configuration (SIMATRIX Term default):
Baud rate: 2400
Parity: even

Required accessories
Control line: at least 3-core cable; max. permissible length approx. 10 m with
0.8 mm conductor diameter.
Two 9-pin Sub-D sockets with housing.
1. Connect the SIMATRIX 648/SYS via the communication interface COM-x to
COM1A on the control unit.
2. Connect the control unit to the power supply unit. See Section 7.3.1: 12 V DC
connection.
