1.
Select Maintenance assistance in the Parameter menu. See Section 10.2:
Menu structure, Fig. 30.
2.
Select the menu item Joystick calibr. Execute.
The LCD indicates:
Joystick extreme value calibration
Move joystick to extreme values!
3.
Move the joystick in any order to the limits of the X, Y and Z axes.
4.
Wait approx. 2 seconds.
Following the calibration, the control unit closes the menu item automatically,
and returns to display of the menu selection.
The joystick must output approximately symmetrical values in its axes.
Example of symmetry
Centre position: 128
Extreme values for X axis: left: 099, right: 154
Extreme values for Y axis: down: 093, up: 157
Extreme values for Z axis: left: 083, right: 174
If the values are not symmetrical, calibrate the joystick. See Section 19.1: Joystick
calibration.
If the characters and digits are not displayed correctly on the LCD, proceed as
follows:
1.
Select Maintenance assistance in the Parameter menu. See Section 10.2:
Menu structure, Fig. 30.
2.
Move the selection arrow in the second line of the LCD to LCD test Execute
using the joystick.
Testing is started.
The characters are displayed in sequence.
