4. Remove the film packaging around the industrial vending system.
NOTICE! Carefully cut open the film packaging. Do not use any unsuitable
cutting tools such as kitchen knives, decorator's knives or pocket knives.
5. At each corner of the industrial vending system, release four bolts to release it
from the pallet.
6. Dispose of the packaging correctly in accordance with local regulations.

Cables and accessories supplied are mounted directly on the system or are bolted to
the pallet.

AMBIENT CONDITIONS
Store or erect the system indoors at a location dust-free, dry and not exposed to
sunlight, free from shaking and vibration.
Do not store or erect the system close to corrosive or aggressive chemical sub-
stances, solvents, moisture or dirt.

Installation

Before starting any installation, cleaning or maintenance work, disconnect the
device from the mains power supply.

Electrical installation, maintenance and repair may be performed only by trained
specialists.

If power cables or sockets are damaged, immediately disconnect the device from
the power supply, do not continue to use the device.

Do not drive over, pinch or crush cables.
»
Do not store liquids in the vicinity of electrically live components.
»
Do not operate with wet or damp hands.

Check the power supply against the rated voltage and frequency shown on the
nameplate, and ensure they are identical.
Do not expose to any dust, dirt or liquids.
Avoid vibrations, jerky movements, shocks and impacts.
5.1.
PREPARATORY ASSEMBLY WORK BY THE OPERATING
COMPANY

Initial commissioning and connection of the industrial vending solutions must
be performed by Hoffmann Group Customer Service. Before moving the system to a
different place of installation, consult Customer Service.
The following activities may be performed by the operating company.
Set-up at the final set-up location.
Installing the screen support and monitor.
Providing the network connection and power supply.
Stable power supply without major voltage fluctuations, such as those caused by
welding equipment or large cutting machines.
Consider establishing the connection via an uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
if necessary.
5.2.
SET-UP
WARNING
Suspended loads
Risk of fatal accidents, together with crush hazards, laceration hazards and impact
hazards for the body and limbs.

Transport work must be performed by trained persons who have been instructed
in the safety aspects of hoists and transport work.
»
Use only tested means of transport, lifting gear and slings that are suitable for the
weight and size of the item to be transported.
»
Do not enter under suspended loads or reach under them or into their range of
swinging.
»
Be aware of the position of the centre of gravity of the device.
»
Do not run lifting gear such as ropes and straps across sharp edges and corners.
Do not knot them, do not twist them.
»
Check that the attachment of the lifting gear is secure.
»
Move loads only under proper supervision. Before you leave the workplace, first
set down the load.

CAUTION
Transporting to the place of installation
The net weight is high – risk of injury if it is lifted improperly.

Wear foot protection and safety gloves.

Make sure the paths for movement and transport are clear.

Ensure during movement and transport that all drawers and cupboard doors are
closed and locked.
»
At least two persons must be employed to transport it to the installation location.
ü Ensure there is a solid, level floor suitable for the maximum load capacity of the
PickOne.
ü Set up the PickOne with 2 people.
1. Set up the PickOne on a level and solid floor.
2. Position the PickOne in the set-up location.
3. Compensate any unevenness in the floor.
4. Use a spirit level to check that the PickOne is aligned horizontally and perpendic-
ular.

5.3.
ALIGNMENT
ü Base fasciae for installation have been removed.
1. Align the industrial vending solution using the 6 adjustable feet and a size 17
open-ended spanner.

6.
Commissioning
6.1.
CONNECTING THE INDUSTRIAL VENDING SOLUTION

Electrician
ü The industrial vending solution has been unpacked.
ü Base fasciae for installation have been dismantled.
1. Connect the IEC light-current cable to the IEC connector on the bottom of the in-
dustrial vending solution.
2. Connect the network cable to the RJ-45 socket on the bottom of the industrial
vending solution.
3. Connect the network cable to the network connection.
4. Fit the base fasciae.
5. Connect the mains power cord to the socket.

The industrial vending solution has been connected.
6.2.
STARTING UP THE INDUSTRIAL VENDING SYSTEM
ü Emergency access has been closed and locked.
ü Connect the indusrial vending system to the power supply.
ü Connect the main system (master) to the data network.
1. Switch on the monitor.
2. The computer of the industrial vending solution automatically boots after press-
ing the Power button.

The operating system is ready for use.
6.3.
CONNECTING THE SMARTLINE AS THE MASTER TO THE
PICKONE EXTENSION

Electrician
ü PickOne extension has been positioned next to the Smartline master.
ü Industrial vending solutions have been disconnected from the power supply.
ü Cover has been removed.
ü Base fascia has been removed.
1. Remove the end cover from the cover.
2. Expose the opening for routing cables on the end cover.
3. Route the data line through the protective cable bushing.
4. Connect the IEC light-current cable from the socket to the extension input.
5. With a patch cable, connect the data line of the RJ45 socket on the PickOne ex-
tension to the RS232 / RJ45 adapter and then directly through the cable aperture
to the COM socket of the PC master.
6. Or with a patch cable, connect the data line of the RJ45 socket on the PickOne ex-
tension to the RS232 / RJ45 adapter + USB RS232 converter and then through the
cable aperture to the USB port of the PC master.
7. Mount the end cover with protective cable bushing on the cover.
8. Fit the cover.
9. Restore the power supply.
10. Switch on the industrial vending solution and interconnect the systems in the
software.

Smartline master has been connected to the PickOne extension.
