11.1 On/Off switch (fig. 1)
1.
To switch on the saw, press the "I" button on the
on/off switch (8). Wait until the saw blade (14) has
reached its maximum speed before starting sawing.
2.
To switch off the saw, push the "0" button at the on/
off switch (8).
11.2 Overload protection
In the event of overloading, the motor will switch itself
off. After a cool-down period (time varies) the motor
can be switched back on again.
1.
Allow the machine to cool down.
2.
Switch the machine back on as described in 11.1.
11.3 Sawing process (Fig. 1)
m Attention! With curved wood, the curved side must
be aligned with the saw blade slot to avoid the wood
tipping over and jamming during the cutting process,
which can cause damage to the saw.
1.
Switch the machine on as described in 11.1.
2.
Open the protective cover using the handle (pro-
tective cover) (1).
3.
Place the material to be cut in the feed rocker (3).
4.
Close the protective cover. Note: The sawing pro-
cess can only be started with the protective cover
closed.
5.
Swivel the swivel frame with the handle (swivel
frame) (2) and the handle (protective cover) (1) to-
wards the saw blade (14) and saw through the ma-
terial to be cut. Note: During the sawing process,
only exert enough pressure on the saw blade to
keep the speed stable.
6.
Swivel the swivel frame back and open the pro-
tective cover.
m Attention!
• Do not leave the machine unattended during operation.
• If you interrupt the work, switch off the machine and
unplug the mains plug.
11.4 Adjusting the length stop (Fig. 5)
A length stop on a rocking log saw is used to precisely
determine the length of the piece of wood to be cut and
to ensure identical cuts are made repeatedly.
1.
Loosen the star knob screw (11) to be able to pull
out the length stop (10) freely.
2.
Slide the length stop (10) along the guide rail to set
the desired cutting length.
3.
As soon as the desired cutting length has been
set, fix the length stop (10) by tightening the star
knob screw (11) again.
4.
Place the piece of wood against the length stop
(10) and make the cut. The length stop (10) serves
as a reference point to ensure that the cut is made
exactly at the set position.
5.
If you need to cut several pieces of wood of the
same length, you can use the length stop (10) to
maintain the setting and make repeated cuts with
the same precision.
11.5 End of work (Fig. 1, 6, 7)
1.
Switch the machine off as described in 11.1.
2.
Wait until the saw blade (14) has come to a com-
plete stop.
3.
Pull out the mains plug.
4.
Observe the general maintenance information.
5.
Bring the swivel frame to the transport position
and secure it with the swivel frame lock (5) (see
fig. 6 + 7).
12. Transport
Note:
Bring the swivel frame to the transport position and
secure it with the swivel frame lock (5) (see fig. 6 + 7).
12.1 Transport over short distances (Fig. 6- 8)
1.
Lift the swivel log saw by the handle (swivel frame)
(2).
2.
The swivel log saw can now be moved with the
wheels (6).
12.2 Vehicle transport
m WARNING
Danger of injury due to excessive product weight.
Take a second person to help you lift the product.
-
1.
When lifting the product, note its weight (see chap-
ter 7 technical data).
2.
Always switch off the product before transport and
disconnect it from the power supply.
3.
Always carry the product with at least one other
person.
4.
Protect the machine from impacts, shocks and
severe vibrations, e.g. during vehicular transport.
5.
Secure the machine against tilting and slipping.
6.
Never use protective devices for handling or for
transport.
