5.6 Installation of level sensor

Proceed as follows:
1. Gently lower the sensor cable with sensor into
the tank and lay the sensor in full length on the
bottom of the tank, see fig. 11.
- Lay the excess sensor cable on the bottom of
the tank.
2. Measure the maximum water depth in the collect-
ing tank, e.g. using a rule.
- Measure from the bottom of the overflow (nec-
essary for the setting of indication of liquid
level).

5.7 Control cable for level sensor

Note: The control cable must not be laid in the
ground without being protected.
Recommendation: Connect the collecting tank to
the house using a pipe (e.g. DN 100). Pass the con-
trol cable through the pipe. The cable is now pro-
tected.
1. Connect the control cable to the unit.
- To facilitate the connection, the unit is provided
with clamp-type contacts.
2. Insert the two stripped wires into the contacts of
the unit, see fig. 12.
- Connect the red wire to the red contact.
- Connect the blue wire to the black contact.
3. Fasten the excessive cable to the wall using ca-
ble clamps.

6. Start-up

Before starting up the RMQ unit, the following must
be checked:
• The cabinet must be clean inside.
• The unit must have been installed correctly.
• All connections/unions must be tight.
• The electricity supply to the unit must be switched
off or the plug must be pulled out.
For operation of the RMQ, see section 7. Control
panel .

6.1 Start-up via mains water supply

The RMQ unit can be started up via the mains water
supply when the collecting tank (e.g. underground
tank) is empty. This ensures that sufficient water is
available at the points of consumption. As standard,
the RMQ unit has been set to mains water operation
"Only" on delivery.
Proceed as follows:
1. Open the isolating valve in the mains water pipe.
- The mains water tank is automatically filled with
water.
Note: The float valve automatically controls the
mains water supply.
2. Remove the vent screw from the pump, see
fig. 13.
- The pump will automatically be filled with water
within approx. 1 minute.
3. Refit and tighten the vent screw.
4. Open the isolating valve on the discharge side
(if installed) and the connected points of con-
sumption, e.g. water closet, tap.
5. Switch on the electricity supply.
The plug must be freely accessible!
- The pump starts and the indicator light "Only"
on the control panel is on (mains water opera-
tion). If the indicator light is off, set the unit to
"Only" by pressing the button, pos. 10, fig. 15.
6. If the pump does not start immediately, briefly
press the "On/Off" button, pos. 5, fig. 15.
- The unit is then switched on and the pump
starts.
7. Close the connected points of consumption as
soon as airless water starts running out.
8. The maximum pressure is generated and the
pump stops after 15 seconds (stop delay).
The RMQ unit can now operate with mains water.
