L.U.C QUATTRO
TOURBILLON
Your watch is equipped with a hand
wound L.U.C tourbillon calibre entirely
designed, developed and produced in
the Chopard Manufacture. The tourbillon
is a device designed to compensate for
the effects of gravity when the watch is
in vertical positions. The trick consists
in mounting the watch's regulating and
maintenance organs (i.e. the balance,
balancespring, pallet and escape
wheel) inside a rotating carriage that
spins on its axis once a minute.
All L.U.C tourbillons are equipped with
a fourspoke variableinertia balance.
This technology exclusively devised
by the Chopard Manufacture serves
to regulate the inertia of the balance
(thus making the watch gain or lose)
by carefully adjusting the position of
the four tiny inertiablocks or weights.
Driven into the rim of the balance, the
latter help minimise aerodynamic dis
turbances as the balance oscillates,
thereby ensuring optimal reliability
and accuracy.

REMARKS AND WARNINGS
– After each adjustment, the crown must
always be pushed back and screwed
in (depending on the model) in order to
guarantee its waterresistance.
– These operations must not under
any circumstances be performed
underwater, since this might damage
the movement.
– The hour and minute adjustments must
not be performed using the winding
tool, since this might damage the wind
ing stem and the crown.
