4.3 Description and suitability of the oven functions

Oven functions (Heating modes)
Off
The oven is switched off.
Oven lighting
The oven lamp can be switched on without any other function.
It lights up automatically during operation of all functions except ECO.
Defrost
The fan circulates the air in the cooking chamber at room temperature.
The defrosting process is thus accelerated in a gentle way.
Bottom heat
The lower heating element under the cooking chamber floor is in operation.
For concentrated heat from below without browning the top of the food.
Suitable for reheating food or for dishes with long cooking times,
such as casseroles, stews or pastries,
as well as for steam cleaning method (description see cleaning chapter).
Top / bottom heat
The upper outer and the lower heating element under the cooking chamber
floor are in operation.
The heat is transferred evenly to the food being cooked.
Baking or roasting is only possible on one level.
Suitable for roasting in a Roman casserole, flat sheet cakes, bread etc.
Convection
The fan, the upper outer heating element and the lower heating element
under the cooking chamber floor are in operation.
The heat is distributed more quickly and evenly in the cooking chamber.
The food is browned on the outside and remains juicy inside.
Suitable for frying at high temperatures or for large pieces of meat.
Grill
The grill element (upper inner heating element) is in operation.
Centrally concentrated heat from above will brown the top of the food.
Position the food to be cooked centrally under the grill.
To avoid fat splashes, a temperature of max. 165°C is recommended.
Suitable for grilling and small quantities and for browning food.
