7.2 Fitting the hob
Caution!
Risk of injury!
The edges of the appliance may be sharp.
Protect yourself from injury,
e.g. by wearing work gloves.
Choosing and preparing the worktop
• Choose a worktop made of insulating and heat-resis-
tant material to avoid electric shocks and deformation
caused by heat radiation from the hob.
Wood and similar fibrous or moisture-permeable mate-
rial may only be used for the worktop if the material is
impregnated.
• Make sure the worktop is 38-48 mm thick and at least
600 mm deep.
Plan a worktop frame around the hob of at least 50
mm.
• Insulate the edge facing the wall against liquids or
moisture.
• Make sure that the surface of the worktop is flat and
horizontal.

Cutting the worktop
• Cut the worktop in accordance with the dimensions
shown in the drawing. Make sure that the cut-out is
centred over the planned position of the oven.
Note:
To avoid incorrect cutting of the worktop, check
that the dimensions indicated correspond to
the dimensions of the product before cutting.
• To prevent the plate material from swelling due to mois-
ture, seal the cut surfaces with special lacquer, silicone
rubber or cast resin.
• Clean the worktop thoroughly before using the hob.
