4. Using the Oven

4.1 Before using the oven

• Before you start cooking, place your food on the baking
tray or cooking grate or in a suitable heat-resistant
cooking / roasting vessel or baking pan
and place it in the middle of the cooking grate.
• Slide it into the cooking chamber at the appropriate
level.
• If you want to cook your food directly on the oven rack,
brush it with some fat or oil beforehand to prevent it
from sticking and insert e.g. a tray with some water
on the guide rail underneath to catch fat or frying juices
without burning them.

4.2 Operating the oven

• To set the desired oven function turn the function con-
trol knob (1) clockwise or anti-clockwise to the position
marked with the icon of the desired function
(Function descriptions see following table).
• Then turn the temperature control knob (2) clockwise
to the position of the desired target temperature.
This can be selected in the range from 50°C to 250°C.
Attention!
!
Risk of damage!
Only turn the temperature control knob clock-
wise or back to max. the off position.
Otherwise the controller may be damaged.
• The heating process starts.
The temperature indicator lamp will be lighting up
as long as the appliance is heating
and goes out when the set temperature is reached.
Note:
If it is necessary to preheat the oven to prepare
your meal, do not put it in the oven until the
temperature control light goes out for the first
time.
During operation, the furnace reheats continuously to
keep the temperature stable.
The temperature control lamp then also lights up.
• When the dish is cooked, switch the appliance off by
turning both control knobs back to the off position (3).
Caution!
!
Risk of damage and malfunction!
Do not place anything on the cooking chamber
floor when using oven functions where the lower
heating element is in operation.
This can cause a heat build-up which can dama-
ge the appliance.
To prevent damage from escaping heat,
always keep the appliance door completly closed
during operation and do not hang anything
on the door handle.
