3.3 Operating the hob
• Set the power of the desired cooking zone to a suitable
level from to
by turning the corresponding power
control knob (1) clockwise to the position numbered
with the desired level (for suitability of the power levels
see the following table).
Caution!
Risk of burns!
During and even after operation, previously
used cooking zones are hot and can cause
burns if touched.
As long as the temperature is still too high
for touching, the corresponding residual heat
indicator is lighting up (see decription of the
appliance). Do not touch the cooking zone until
it turns off.
• When you have finished cooking, switch off the cooking
zone by turning the power control knob to the off posi-
tion (2).
• The residual heat indicator of the cooking zone will
remain lit until the temperature has fallen to a safe
level.

Using the residual heat protection
for other purposes
You can also use the residual heat indicator func-
tion to save energy when heating different dishes
one after the other or to keep a dish warm.
To do this, use the cooking zone whose indicator
is still lit.
