• Hold the scraper at an angle of about 30° to the hob
and scrape the soiling onto a cool area of the hob.
Any encrustations that have already hardened should
first be carefully crushed.
• Remove the loosened residues with a dishcloth or
paper towel.
• Clean, rinse and dry the glass as described under „eve-
ryday soiling".

5.3 Cleaning the oven

Oven front
• Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning
and soak heavily soiled areas in warm soapy water.
Attention!
!
Risk of damage!
Aggressive cleaners, scouring agents or scrub-
bing sponges can damage glass and stainless
steel surfaces and make the markings on the
control panel illegible.
Only clean them as described.
• Clean the stainless steel surfaces with warm soapy
water or with a standard stainless steel cleaner.
• Clean the glass front with warm water and a little
washing-up liquid.
• After cleaning, dry all parts with a soft, absorbent cloth.
Oven interior and accessories
Note:
To facilitate cleaning of the oven interior,
the slide-in racks and the oven door can be
removed (see relevant sections).
• If possible, clean the cooking chamber while still warm.
• Remove grease splashes in the oven, on the inner door
and on accessories such as the baking tray, grate, etc.
with hot water and a little washing-up liquid.
Attention!
!
Risk of damage!
Irritating, corrosive, rough or abrasive cleaning
agents and utensils or sharp metal scrapers
can cause glass damage or even breakage.
Only clean the door glass as described above.
• For easier cleaning, soak the slide-in racks
or clean them in the dishwasher.
• For stubborn or heavy soiling of the cooking chamber,
use a commercially available oven cleaner and follow
the manufacturer's safety instructions and instructions
for use.
In particular, ensure that painted, anodised or galvani-
sed surfaces, aluminium parts and heating elements
do not come into contact with the cleaner to avoid
colour changes or damage.
• Rinse thoroughly with clear water
so that all cleaning residues are completely removed.
• Dry everything with a soft, absorbent cloth.
Steam cleaning method
for easier cleaning of the cooking chamber:
This method uses steam and heat.
Contamination in the cooking chamber can thus be dis-
solved better, which makes cleaning much easier.
• Remove accessories such as the baking tray and coo-
king grate from the oven.
• Pour about 0.4 litres of water with a little washing-up
liquid into an oven tray, grease pan or similar
and slide it into the oven cavity on the lowest guide rail.
• Close the oven door and select bottom heat at 50°C.
• After about 30 minutes, switch the appliance off and
disconnect it from the mains.
• Use a soft cloth to remove any food residue softened
by the evaporated water.
• If there is burnt-in dirt, follow the cleaning instructions
given above.
