6 Ecological Information
6.1 Disposal of Packing
Gebrüder Martin will, as a matter of course, take back the full packaging if so desired, to
recycle as many parts of the packaging as possible.
If you do not wish to make use of this offer, you can dispose of the packaging with the normal
paper or domestic garbage.
6.2 Return Shipment
In case of return shipments, send only clean and disinfected products in sterile packing.
Be sure to observe and follow the regulations provided by your hospital's hygiene board as
regards instrument return or disposal.
6.3 Disposal
When the product was designed, composite materials were avoided wherever possible. Thanks
to this design concept, the unit can be mostly recycled at the end of its life time. We also offer
you to take back the unit and to dispose of it correctly.
If disposable articles are used during treatment, we point out that these may be disposed of
as domestic or problematic waste only after careful cleaning, disinfection and possibly
sterilization. Infected sharp parts of disposable articles shall be treated according to the
applicable regulations like other "sharps" (needles, cannulae and scalpels – by disposal via
germ-tight and puncture-resistant containers).
The national regulations for waste disposal must be complied with!
