When using the blade holders supplied in sterile condition, the assembly and the following
•
test of the mechanical parts, the locking functions and the blade feed are done only after
inserting the blade holders in the sterile operating area.
— Perform sterilization only in disassembled condition (handle and tubular shaft
separated)!
— The movable handle must be in the unlocked position during sterilization. The jaws
must be open.
The temperature in the autoclave must not exceed 138°C (280°F) and 18 min holding time,
since otherwise the insulation and other plastic parts might be damaged.

Other times and temperatures can also be used as long as they are within the appropriate
range. The operator must ensure that sterility is maintained after the sterilization process.
Follow the handling and loading recommendations by the manufacturer of the sterilization
device!

A non-functional unit or defective accessories can endanger the patient or user, as well as
affect the intended functions of the unit.
The unit and its accessories must always be kept in flawless working condition. Intact

insulation, cleanliness and potential damage must be visually ascertained.
Units and accessories unfit for further use are to be scrapped.
