Cleaning of guide bar
Regularly inspect and clean
the oil outlets (I) and
the guiding groove (P) of the guide bar
Remove any burr using a flat file and emery paper.
Turn round the guide bar (20) after each chain
exchange/sharpening to avoid single-side wearing

battery and the charger, please refer to the respective
"Operating Instructions".
Transport
Before each transport
Switch off device.
Wait until the cutting device does not longer
move.
Remove the battery.

Secure the cutting tool (7/21/35) with the
transport guard (8/14/22) against touching to avoid injuries or
damages
Carry the device balanced on the shaft or hanging from the
carrying strap. Hold the cutting tool toward the back at this.
When transporting the product within a car put it in the boot
or on a separate loading area.
You can also store the device in a space-saving
manner by pulling attachments from the drive unit.
Do not throw the device when loading it. Secure the device
against tipping over or damages. Check the device for
damages if it was subjected to hard jolts during transport.
Especially for the hedge trimmer:
The cutting device (35) can be folded together to save space.
Press the engagement levers (M/N) and fold the head of
the hedge trimmer backwards, parallel to the shaft

Before each storage
Switch off device.
Wait until the cutting device does not longer
move.
Remove the battery.
Before a longer period of storage carry out the
following to extend the devices service life and ensure an
easy operation:
Remove the battery
Carry out a thorough cleaning and maintenance

Storage
Oil all moving parts with environmentally compatible oil
Store machines that are not in use in a dry locked place
protected against frost and outside the reach of children and
unauthorized persons.
Secure the cutting tool (7/21/35)
You can also store the device in a space-saving manner by
by separating the attachment tools from the drive unit.
Best store the drive unit suspended. An opening for
hanging it up is provided in the housing (1)
Place the protective cap (38) over the end of the shaft to
prevent dirt from entering it
Especially for the brush cutter / grass trimmer:
Do not rest the device on the guard when storing it to avoid
deformation of the guard.
Best store the device suspended
Especially for the power pruner:
Remove the oil from the oil tank
Some chain oils tend to encrustations after a longer
period. For this reason the oil system should be flushed
before a longer storing with a chain saw cleaner. Fill the
cleaner up to the middle (approx. 50 ml) into the oil tank.
Close the tank. Switch on the power pruner without
assembled guide bar and chain until the complete
cleaner has left the oil opening of the power pruner.
Put the saw chain for a short time into an oil bath
and enwrap it afterwards in an oil paper.
