Adjusting the chain lubrication
The chain lubrication is factory-set. Depending on the type of
wood and working techniques the amount of oil may vary and
has to be corrected
Adjust the chain lubrication using the
adjusting screw (O) which is located

below the product
Anticlockwise turning large amount of
Clockwise turning small amount of oil
The chain lubrication is correctly adjusted when the
saw chain throws off small amounts of oil during
operation.
Saw chain and guide bar
Saw chain and guide bar are exposed to a great extent
of wearing. Replace the chain saw and the guide bar
without any delay if their proper function is no longer
ensured

Installing the guide bar and the chain saw".
Sharpening of saw chain
You can only work safely and well with a sharp
and clean saw chain. Damaged or incorrectly
sharpened saw chains increase the risk of
kickbacks.
The saw chain has to be sharpened if
 only wood dust is thrown out instead of shavings
 you have to press the chain saw through the wood during
cutting
Inexperienced users: Have the saw chain sharpened by a
specialist/service workshop. You can also sharpen your saw
chain yourself by using our electric sharpener KSG 220 A
(article-no.: 302360).
Only remove a little amount of material when
sharpening.

Cleaning - general
Clean the machine thoroughly after each application
so that the faultless function is kept.
Water, solvents and polishing agents shall not be
applied.
Make sure the ventilation slots are free from foreign
objects (risk of overheating).
Clean the case with a soft brush or a dry cloth.
Clean the contact plug in the battery well with a soft brush.
Do not clean the machine under running water or using a
high-pressure cleaner.
Keep the handles free of oil and grease.
Do not use solvents (gasoline, alcohol, etc.) for plastic parts,
otherwise such parts may be damaged.
Cleaning brush cutter / grass trimmer
After work, remove grass, dirt, plant residues and moisture
(plant sap) with a brush or a damp cloth from the area of the
cutting tool and the guard
Cleaning hedge trimmer
 Remove dirt, plant residues and moisture (plant sap) from
the cutting device (36) after finishing work using a brush or a
cloth.
Never clean the knives with water
Risk of corrosion!
 Stubborn dirt and resin residues can be dissolved with a
suitable cleaning agent (e.g. resin solvent). Spray the front
and back of the cutting device well. Allow the hedge shears
to run briefly so that the agent can spread in the gaps.
After a short contact time, dry the cutting device with a cloth.
Then spray environmentally friendly maintenance oil on
the front and back of the cutting device.
Allow the hedge shears to run briefly so that the oil can
spread in the gaps.
The oil ensures easy movement of the cutting device at all
times. Oil also prevents rusting at locations you are not able
to dry.
A cutting device that is not cleaned and oiled may
become hot and damage the device
Cleaning power pruner
After a longer operation period (1 – 3 hours) remove the
cover (17), the guide bar (20) and the chain (21) and clean
them with a brush.
If heavily contaminated, clean the device using a
commercial chain cleaner.
Clean the oil flow canal (K) with a clean cloth or a brush
Remove all adhering substances with a brush from the
chain wheel (30) and chain stretching pin (J).
