6 Putting into operation
Example 3: Reading out the welding parameters from job no. 7
Set F30 and F31 to 5.
7
Set the signal of the external input terminals IN-EXT2/IN-EXT3 to ON.
8
Read out job no. 7.
9
Other functions can be used for F29 and F32.
Even after reading out the welding parameters via this function, the welding procedure can be executed
either via the machine's control panel or using the "toggle DC/pulse" function for the external input
terminal strip. In this case, the welding parameters are read in again as soon as the signal at the external
input terminal to which this function has been assigned is changed.
Description for setting 6
Closing the terminals enables the iArc mX Standard DC welding procedure. Opening the terminals enables
the iArc mX Pulse DC welding procedure. Selecting the optional move-frequency function beforehand
activates the iArc mX Move DC welding mode.
Even after reading out the welding parameters via this function, the welding procedure can be executed
either via the machine's control panel or using the "Load welding parameters" function for the external input
terminal strip. In this case, the welding parameters are read in again as soon as the signal at the external
input terminal to which this function has been assigned is changed.
The toggle for iArc mX Standard DC to iArc mX Pulse DC and from iArc mX Move DC to iArc mX Pulse DC
can be used together. The welding procedure can be optimized according to the combination of external
input signals.
Description for setting 7
If the iArc mX Pulse DC welding procedure or iArc mX Move DC welding procedure has been selected,
short-circuiting the terminals enables the DC Move pulse welding mode.

Description for setting 8
Short-circuiting the terminals shifts the next job no.
The job no. is shifted to the next no. and this parameter set is read out when the terminals are short-circuited
for 100 ms during shift mode. When the job no. has reached the highest value, it will jump to the lowest
value.
If a job no. does not contain any welding parameters, it is skipped. The parameters cannot be changed
during welding. To cancel shift mode, the external output terminals must be open. The digital display shows
current and voltage after 1 second.
