b) Changing the master code
Code lock programming always requires the master code, which should be selected accordingly.
The default master code is "1234" (the same applies after resetting the code lock to factory
defaults). We highly recommend that you change this master code for security reasons before
using the code lock.
The master code can consist of 4 to 8 digits.
Important!
All codes (master code, user codes, standard access code, bypass code, AUX code)
must have the same length. For example, if a master code consists of 5 digits, all other
codes must also have 5 digits.
If you are using preprogrammed codes and want to use a master code with a differ-
ent length (a 5-digit code instead of the existing 4-digit one), you should delete all
transponders/user codes as described in section 8. g).
Proceed as follows:
• Enter the master code twice to start the programming mode, as described in section 8. a).
The yellow LED must light up.
Important!
If you have already saved a master transponder, for security reasons, you cannot use
it to start the programming mode in order to change the master code. You can only use
the keypad for this purpose.
• Enter the programming code for the master code:
• The code lock will emit 2 beeps.
• Enter the new master code.
Example 1:
The new master code is "2222". All codes (user codes, standard access code, bypass code,
AUX code) must consist of 4 digits as described above.
Example 2:
The new master code is "98765". All codes (user codes, standard access code, bypass code,
AUX code) must consist of 5 digits.
• Press the
button to complete the entry. The code lock goes back to standby mode.
